She has asked and asked and asked for months now. She has asked me for this more times than she has asked for sex (which is a lot!) She begs and pleads and I still do not give in. What is this desperate call to action that is so important it can be drawn out for 12 months and still not have her cave in? Writing on her blog.

According to a very well respected website (it came up second when I googled it which means it totally has to be legit) there are over 50 million blogs right now and that number will double in about 6 1/2 months. Why on earth would I care about contributing to a blog that only a half dozen people will read, and those will only read because they are prompted to. I mean, I am a doctoral student studying leadership in higher education, I have an 18 month old daughter, I manage 26 employees for a company that has revenues in the billions, and I just purchased Madden 2010 and have a playbook to create. I mean, I have some important things to do!!!

But, Annie is most important of all. And after 365 days, I caved in. (Plus, she said if I write once a week, she will shut up about it! :-)

So here we are. The Ozzie and Harriet of the Blogosphere. We are not Jon and Kate (although Annie does like the Taco Bell drive through guy who was a teenager, so maybe she is Jon) but we do have our stories. I will not edit, proofread, or reread anything I write so its coming straight from the pressured heart! Let us (well, her) know what you think.
